![]() While Albs can be born naturally, the Converters can also be used to forcefully convert the Free People in new Albs though the process is extremely risky and most become mutants. Making use of the most advance technology on Magalan, the Albs mainly use the Converters to extract Elex from the earth. The Albs are certain that strength alone can save the world, and the weak must be sacrificed for Magalan to survive as they ascend to a new state of evolution. They claim that all Elex is theirs by right. With focus and drive from their base in the mountains of Xacor, the Albs extend their reach to conquer Magalan under the absolute command of the ancient and mysterious Hybrid who hungers for Elex. The map of Elex II looks a lot more dense than the one of Elex I, and I think that's a good thing.By consuming pure Elex, the people of Magalan can grow stronger, think with increased clarity and be free from emotion. If you remove that unused space you will end up with a map that is roughly the same size as the one shown in this post. If you compare both maps side by side like this, you will notice that the map of Elex I has a lot of unused space in the west as well as in the east of the map. The named areas seem to share a colour scheme with this concept art as well as this screenshot. I think those will be the alien towers that we saw in the trailer and in the gameplay previews. the two grey/brown spots in the snowy Ignadon or Carakis) which are not converters. There are some X-shaped objects surrounded by gray-brown ground on the map (e.g. I don't see anything purple so it is possible that alien invasion didn't started yet in those areas in E2. Before they could be killed too, Wardek, an Albs soldier, took them with him, growing them as his own sons. I'm hoping for this area to be a new swamp camp, I hope it will be the area shown in this concept art. When he was very young, a commando of Albs raided the island, killing everyone in the process while he and Kallax were hiding under a barrow, witnessing powerless and scared. It's also the land that Baxter, the former leader of the Outlaws, fled to prior to the events of Elex I. The lands east of Tavar are called Carakis and are the homeland of the Morkon. The intro of Elex II mentions that the Albs released the Elex that was accumulated in Xacor, which caused it to spread to other regions, I think that's what we see in Ignadon. Either clerics lost to Albs, or they reconnected with them, and Albs took control. ![]() Seeing how much map changed I bet we will get a tons of information what happened after E1 and how we ended up here. Most likely this isn't whole map.īig part of Elex was discovering what happened, both quests, collectibles and exploration was telling a story about that. PB said game will have same map size as Elex, but what we can see here looks like only a little more than half of the map of E1. I also miss anything that look like places from CGI trailers, no empty dark area, no rocky terrain. Possibly there will be another area in game that will have similar function to Xacor from last game, or we will witness invasion of Tavar/Ignadon/new terrain during the game. If that is true big part of the Edan is underwater, could explain why Berserkers moved to Tavar. Old factory island is much smaller, and coastline looks different, possibly sea level risen for some reason. There are many buildings here, they could not survive direct hit by the comet, so probably there will be city that was build during timeskip. Place where comet hit is now flooded, so we will be able to access. I think many saw there was building in that area in E1 and tried to access it, so it will be great to actually see it through. New terrains are south to Ignadon and east to Tavar. Kinda looks strange we can see old buildings are still there, but all roads disappeared. It looks like dam in Abessa should be accessible from water, but probably there will be some terrain hazards (like radiation) to stop Jax from going there. We can't even see old roads leading to them from Tavar or Ignadon, meaning terrain had to change a lot since E1. Xacor, Abessa and Edan cannot be accessed. If Albs uncovered the truth about Calaan, I wouldn't be surprised if they would easily take control after that. It looks like there is another converter where Hort was. Too bad, clerics had the most awesome armors. That probably means Berserkers conquered Outlaws, so most popular guild conquered the least popular guild from last game. Almost whole Tavar is back and it is transformed by Berserkers.
